This boutique was opened two years ago (in the Halekulani resort in Waikiki). It’s a 600m2 store with clothing articles, accessories, and cosmetics.
It’s supposed to be a drop after Vera Wang decided to simply cut on her jewelry line. Plus her low-cost collaborations lately seemed to have scared clients who believed she was loosing sight of the simply exclusive concept and focusing too much on the “simply” part.

I for one love the idea of lowering those luxury standards. After all, he/she who wants to find uniqueness, he/she can find it even under a rock!
What do you say? Was “Simply Vera” a commercial mistake?

Personally, I didn’t like the Simply Vera line. The few pieces that I would have worn were so basic that I could care less whose name was on them. Of course, I should note that I’m not quite as big a fan of black as she is (love it, but not THAT much).
I really love Isaac Mizrahi’s stuff, but I do associate his name with cheap stuff — good quality and great designs, too, but cheap stuff. So, I wouldn’t pay a lot just for his name, but on the other hand I would pay more for his designs because they’re great and easy to wear.
